How to Become a Main Street Vendor: Step-by-Step Guide

How to Become a Main Street Vendor: Step-by-Step Guide

At Main Street Collective, we believe in empowering Mississippi artisans, craftsmen, and entrepreneurs by giving them a platform to thrive. Whether you're a seasoned small business owner or just getting started selling your Mississippi handmade goods, we’ve made the process of becoming a Main Street vendor easy, welcoming, and designed to support your growth every step of the way. Here's how to join Mississippi’s fastest-growing marketplace for Mississippi makers.

 JOIN MAIN STREET COLLECTIVE!

Step 1: Understand Who We’re For

Main Street Collective is exclusively for Mississippi makers. That means:

       Your products must be Mississippi-made

You must be a Mississippi-based business or creator

Your goods must be authentic, handmade, crafted, or created here in Mississippi

We don’t accept mass-produced or imported goods. Our mission is to protect the integrity of Made in Mississippi craftsmanship.

Step 2: Explore the Marketplace

Visit www.mainstreetco.us and take a look around:

Browse categories like home goods, food, art, fashion, gifts, and woodworking

Read our Vendor Spotlights to get a feel for the kinds of stories and makers we highlight

See how our community of Mississippi artisans and craftsmen tell their stories through their storefronts

If you feel like you belong here, you probably do.

Step 3: Fill Out the Vendor Application

Head to the BECOME A VENDOR

page of our website and fill out the short vendor interest form. You’ll need to share:

       Basic business information

A brief description of your Mississippi handmade products

Social media or website links (if you have them)

       Photos of your products

We’ll review your submission to ensure it aligns with our values and standards.

Step 4: Get Approved and Set Up Your Storefront

Once approved, our vendor success team will reach out to help you:

       Create your Main Street storefront

       Upload product listings

Write your vendor bio that shares your story as a Mississippi maker

Get tips on how to price, tag, and organize your shop

We’re here to make it easy, even if it’s your first time selling online.

Step 5: Go Live and Start Selling

Once your shop is built, we’ll launch your storefront and welcome you to our marketplace. But that’s just the beginning:

We’ll feature you on our social media and email newsletter

You’ll be listed in our Mississippi Vendor Directory

We’ll teach you how to run promotions, track sales, and grow your audience

Main Street Collective works with our vendors, not just as a platform but as a true partner in growth.

Invitations to exclusive vendor-only events and workshops

Opportunities to be featured in spotlight blogs, videos, and seasonal collections

When you join Main Street Collective, you’re not just opening a storefront; you’re joining a movement to preserve and promote Mississippi craftsmanship.
